Give one-of-a-kind original art First Light is a walk in the woods as the sun rises. It is a chunky piece of wood itself, small (just 5x7 inches), and sits nicely on a bookshelf. It would be a meaningful gift for someone who got you through an ordeal.

Collage in Words and Images

"Collage" can be a medium (gluing paper instead of brushing paint) or it can be defined as a mode, a whole way to approach making art. Inherent in the act of collage is processing what has been produced, typically by mass culture, or re-consuming the world of consumption. Early in the modern collage movement were the Futurists whose ideas about depicting fast-paced, urban life in fragments and chaotic motion extended into literature. Futurists incorporated words, freed from their context, into collage that were at the same time poetry and visual art.
