It's a Set Up!

Tablescapes! It's like a landscape but as a still life. Or maybe they look like a portrait to you. Pick a color.

These are 5"x7"x3/4" paper collage on cradled wood board. There's a surprise inside!

They can sit on a bookself or hang on a wall. They were fun to make and I hope make you happy to look at.

Damask

Inspired by Mary Delany (please learn more about her "paper mosaics"), this deep-hued and texture-rich tribute is proudly old-fashioned. The swirl of blooms is a bit mesmerizing. I like the touches of decay.

22x18 inches in its frame. Paper collage on canvas board then mounted on hardboard and sealed with wax for a rich surface glow.

Threashold and Safe Controlled Environment

A pair of multi-mini-landscapes on plexiglass.

Art is 19" x 24" each and comes simply framed but I think there are more exciting ways to present these. With the plexiglass, the source of the paper used in the collage can be inspected and when light comes through, the landscape grid becomes more of an abstract piece.

Heartache series

My favorite series for the depth of color and exciting but haunting fragments of images. Each tile stands on its own as a tiny work of art and yet really plays off the others.

To the High Ground

Expansive super-pixelated landscape with quilt-inspired edging. It's a memory, or a story in the telling. On the reverse, the source of the paper scraps are revealed. With light behind, the scene becomes more abstract.

It's a landscape of litter, and a commentary, or an eco-promise, all as you see it.

Paper collage on plexiglass, sealed and varnished.

Art is 22" x 28" and comes framed in a simple black metal frame. I think there are better ways to display this. I am excited to see what happens to it.

Custom Pet Portrait

You will receive a custom pet portrait roughly filling a 9x12 inch size sheet of bristol board (heavy paper). In a few cases I may opt to use textured art paper but generally the image will be made up of images from magazines, catalogs or newspaper. For example, a dog's fur may be depicted from carpeting or a basket. Please refer to samples on the Pet Portrait page.
